Founded by the dynamic mother-daughter duo Erika and Diane Turner, the Pittsburgh-based company is expanding its offerings and reinforcing its commitment to elevating Black-owned beverage brands.
New Collaborative Spirits on the Horizon
Among the exciting new developments, TLC Libations is embarking on a unique “sexy collaboration” with Linnea Marie of Lmarie Solutions. This partnership is set to introduce “Lipz,” a distinctive blend featuring pineapple strawberry tequila infused with green tea, pomegranate, and vanilla. This creative venture showcases TLC Libations’ innovative spirit and ability to craft unique flavor profiles, adding to their existing Eboné Spirits line which includes Honey Whiskey, Soul Gin, and Flor de Blanco, a tequila blend.
The Black Brewhouse: A Hub for Black Beverage Excellence
The innovation extends beyond product development to community building. TLC Libations is a key player at the Black Brewhouse, a Downtown Pittsburgh tasting room that opened in April 2026 in collaboration with Marcus Wyatt of Windy Bridges Brew. This collaborative space serves as a vital platform, featuring spirits, beers, cocktails, and mocktails from various Black artisans across Pennsylvania. Erika Turner, known for her journey from corporate accounting to distilling, emphasizes the importance of spaces like Black Brewhouse for providing access and visibility to other Black beverage makers, artists, and DJs. The venue embodies a spirit of community and celebration, allowing Black entrepreneurs to thrive together.
A Legacy of Entrepreneurship and Quality
Since its founding in 2017, TLC Libations has been dedicated to producing premium, handcrafted alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The distillery, which officially launched its production facility and tasting space in Homewood in 2023, has quickly earned recognition as Pennsylvania’s first Black female-owned distillery. Their commitment to quality is evident in their use of premium ingredients and original recipes for every sip.
The Turners’ entrepreneurial journey began with beverage catering and bartending services in Pittsburgh, evolving into a fully functional, federally regulated distillery. Their dedication has not only led to the creation of acclaimed spirits but also to a platform that supports local artists by commissioning label designs and providing ongoing royalties.
Looking Ahead: Barrel & Flow Festival
The commitment to showcasing Black talent continues with upcoming events. Both TLC Libations and Windy Bridges Brew are slated to sample their products at the annual Barrel & Flow Fest on August 8, 2026, in Pittsburgh. This festival, established in 2018, is a significant event for celebrating Black arts, craft brewing, and Black-owned businesses, providing another valuable opportunity for these brands to connect with a wider audience and further their impact on the industry.
