When Nayana asked Don what he would pursue if he could do anything, his response was to own a tequila company, albeit with a perceived impossibility. Nayana, however, challenged this notion, taking the initiative to research and locate a distillery, ultimately leading to the brand's establishment.
With Nayana's background as a financial analyst for over two decades, primarily in the automotive sector, she brought crucial business acumen to the venture, overseeing logistics, operations, finance, and growth strategy. The brand, initially named “Teeq Tequila” (an acronym for “Tequila of Extraordinary and Exquisite Quality”), officially launched in August 2018. It was later rebranded to Anteel, inspired by the Antillean Crested Hummingbird, an elegant creature that the couple observed during their Dominican Republic trip. In Mexican folklore, the hummingbird symbolizes positive energy, strength, courage, and elegance, believed to carry desires to the universe, embodying the brand’s motto to “Live Significantly” or “Create your legacy.”

The brand utilizes a blend of Highland and Lowland agave, which are grown for years before being twice distilled to achieve a smooth and refined character. The tequila is 100% Blue Weber Agave, meticulously produced at Destiladora del Valle de Tequila (NOM 1137) in Jalisco, Mexico.
The brand's portfolio includes three core expressions: Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. The Anteel Blanco is celebrated for its clean, sweet agave profile with subtle floral tones. The Anteel Reposado is uniquely aged in Tennessee whiskey barrels for eight months, a departure from the typical American White Oak barrels, imparting distinct caramel and vanilla notes. The Añejo, aged longer, offers a complex character with rich notes of oak, vanilla, and caramel.

It boasts the world's only Coconut Lime Blanco tequila and was the first to introduce a Tarocco Blood Orange Blanco.
