Gravesande-Braxton Distillers

Gravesande-Braxton Distillers was founded in 2012 by Vanessa Braxton, making her the first African American woman to own and operate a distillery in the United States. The distillery produces Black Momma Vodka, crafted from New York State farmed corn, and represents a milestone in the history of Black women in the American spirits industry.

Vanessa Braxton is the founder of Gravesande-Braxton Distillers and the first African American woman licensed to distill spirits in the United States. She is also the creator of Black Momma Vodka, a premium vodka crafted from New York State farmed corn with natural vanilla and tea flavors.
